It’s nice to see trends shifting toward domestic growth and away from imports and risky business. Wouldn’t it be more true to say that strong countries are built on stable ground: the continent where they live. Learning from our mistakes would make strip mining a thing of the past. Mass production and clear-cutting could be outdated. Understanding ways to continue production may lead us to a new balance.
What sustains our lives is right here at home. The ground we stand on. Continued growth and sustainability for our health and resources. A healthy balance of minerals and nutrition from planting and producing good products supports cleaner air and stronger rock and soil beneath our feet.
The safety of transportation, as well as the air we breathe, is vital for our delicate climate. Growing from the ground up will be more supportive for our health and our resources.
Although reshoring seems to be a trend started by the pandemic and President Trump's action on Tariffs in February. Staying away from the rising threats of a strike on the docks is a welcome call. Our lives could depend on stabilizing the ground with responsible growth here at home. If we put things together in order to make the country strong from the ground up we could form meaningful connections with the countries around us by sharing information on ways to sustain and create stability beneath our feet and in our air.
As Brian Rothstein posted on February 7, 2025, on Mead Metals INC., Metals are one of the industries highly tariffed and facing “a market shaped by economic shifts, supply chain challenges, and global political developments.” He said, “Manufacturers are in a holding pattern, cautious about large investments”. (Metal Market Outlook 2025: Key Trends And Challenges).
Cautious may be the smart way to go, because when large investments have resource limits, losses have been nearly permanent. Our ability to build and sustain resources is what supports our lives and our economy. I may also produce a balance of goods and services. When we give more and pay more attention to what we do, we get better results. Sustainable crops and stronger products come from connecting with our planet and understanding what goes together.
Human intelligence was born to live and thrive in this environment, and we should do so.
