Word of the Day;
Empirical Truth: Exact conformity, as learned by observation or experiment between judgments or propositions and externally existent things in their actual status and relations called the actual truth, contingent truth. As defined by Merriam-Webster.
I got this word from an article in The Atlantic about the upcoming series on Peacock called Shadowland. Although I haven't seen shadowland yet I was intrigued by the idea that the American System has been made of some sort of conspiracy or at least influenced by one.
The word empirical truth really stumped me when used to describe conspiracy. As I looked at the definition and gave an acquiesced idea to the word, being an objective truth. But that's the most misleading thing. Something with an inside fact that we can't see lurking to cause havoc.
The article described the conspiracy as "Mainstream conspiracism is the result not of bad information or bad politics or bad thinking, but of systems built to stoke paranoia and to profit from mistrust." The Atlantic.com/ Shadowland. Shadowland is a documentary series, primiering on Peacock September 21.
